Thomas Scarr grew up in Gibsons, B.C., where he played a multitude of sports throughout his childhood. Over time Thomas’ passion for sport and particularly baseball and hockey grew immensely. Scarr went on to play in the British Columbia Premier Baseball League (BCPBL) for the North Shore Twins. After, Thomas played four years for the University of Calgary Dinos and then on in Europe with the Vienna Emporers.

After Thomas’ baseball career finished, he turned to research and coaching. Scarr worked for the Sport Injury Prevention and Research centre at the University of Calgary as a research assistant on multiple projects. The SIPRC is one of 11 International Olympic Committee recognized research centres. Thomas also worked as a part time coach with the National Sport Academy. Thomas graduated from the U of C with a Bachelors of Kinesiology as well as becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Thomas worked at Crash Conditioning, a sport performance facility in Calgary, Alberta for a few years working with elite hockey players, as well as for the National Sport Academy, with their baseball players. Thomas completed his Masters of Science in Physiotherapy at Glasgow Caledonian University in the United Kingdom while training the school rugby team as well.

Thomas’ philosophy is an athlete and or individual centred aproach, tailored to the needs of each individual person and athlete to better protect and develop them. His mission is to empower each individual to strive to reach their personal sport/health goals.
